A Website To Find The Best Cable Bundles

November 5th, 2008 | Posted in web news

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Today I came across a website which offers a unique concept I haven’t seen elsewhere. The website I’m referring to is BridgeVine.com, and it can help consumers save money on cable TV Bundles, as well as their phone and internet services. Of course, now you’re wondering how - good question. Well, Bridgevine’s website includes a shopping engine which features the pertinent details of major competing companies in the home entertainment markets.

For example, instead of visiting all of the leading cable companies websites or calling a multitude of phone numbers, in an effort to find their best prices and package information, just visit Bridgevine.com. You’ll save yourself money, time and a whole lot of hassle.

Their website itself is also easy to use. Simply fill in your location (address, phone, zip - nothing confidential) and a search will be conducted for the best promotions available in your specific area. You can then sort the results by price or provider - whichever is more important to you. Some of the deals I found in only a few seconds were really impressive, and I wouldn’t have known about them had I not discovered Bridgevine.

Also, be sure to check out the “More Services” section on their left sidebar, where you’ll find bargains in a variety of sectors.

Just Another Reason To Love FireFox

firefox icon among others, internet explorer

The reason why I, and so many other people love Firefox, is they simply build features that people want. Firefox figures out what its users desire, and then produces such. They don’t have to sell us on their features, because they are, so often, precisely what we are looking for.

A good example of this is Firefox’s new private browsing option. Now, personally, I don’t need it so much. However, for people who share computers and have privacy concerns, or perhaps even those browsing from work (gasp) where histories can be checked, the private browsing feature is invaluable.

While this newly unveiled private browsing feature is still in beta, and expected to be integrated into the next FF release, its already very popular. Private browsing will allow users to enjoy an internet session without leaving any evidence behind in the browser - history, cookies, ect. Firefox will, as they often do, make the feature easy to use by integrating it directly into their next release (which you can look for November 21). To find it, just check out the tools menu.

Link Exchanges To Boost Traffic

chain link

High quality and creative content is great, but how useful is it if no one actually reads your thoughtfully penned words? Traffic is king in the blogosphere, and while there are many suggestions out their on how to improve your ranking, it’s important not to overlook some basics that can be used even by newbies.

For that reason I wanted to talk about link exchanges. People often will check out the blogroll or related links sections of the blogs they visit regularly. It’s a good way to find similar sites in a niche they’re already reading, so why not make an effort to have your blog listed? It’s as easy as contacting webmasters of related blogs and asking if they’d be interesting in featuring a link to your blog, in exchange for you listing theirs. It helps to focus on those who have similar pagerank and traffic, as very popular sites are unlikely to want to trade with a newer blog.

While reciprocal linking isn’t known to be hugely helpful in the eyes of Google, it will increase your link popularity some, especially if you are able to trade with a site containing page-rank, which does not link out excessively.
