An Online Holiday Card Resource
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
It’s very important for businesses of all sectors to send holiday cards to their customer base and other associates. This keeps the company in the consumer’s mind, and creates good feelings of trust and familiarity. When choosing between two businesses, a consumer is much more likely to remember the one that went the extra mile with a personal touch, such a a Christmas card.
A great resource that I’ve found online for corporate Christmas cards, is a company called Christmas Cards Direct. They offer a vast selection of beautiful, festive cards, and have an easy to use system which makes it simple to customize the cards with your company’s name, logo and signatures. All of this leads to a distinct card, with strong branding power.
Besides offering services that I find to be both useful and convenient, there’s another reason I wanted to share my thoughts on Christmas Cards Direct here. You see, they have joined forces with The Home Depot to send a whopping five thousand Christmas cards and Christmas trees to the brave folks serving in the US Armed Forces this Christmas. The effort, dubbed Operation Christmas Tree, truly helps to bring a little holiday cheer to those which very much deserve such. If you can, you may want to visit their website and contribute.
Entrecard A Year Old - Are You Using It?
I was surprised that I hadn’t noticed this a few days ago, but as reported on Entrecard’s offical blog, the blogging community site has now made it to the one year mark.
Personally, I used to frequent Entrecard on an almost daily basis, as it was a good way to get traffic to my newer blogs, however haven’t had the time or inclination to do so recently. This is mostly because my blogs are (knock on wood) receiving a decent amount of traffic from search engines, and I no longer feel the effort put in to Entrecard is worth it for them.
Regardless of my own use or disuse of the service, making it to the one year mark is an important milestone for any dot com, and so, congrats to Entrecard! And really, best of luck for the future.
Obama Continues To Use The Internet As A Political Tool
In this past presidential campaign, more so than any other, the internet was used as an extremely powerful way to get a campaign’s message across. With viral YouTube videos, blog posts and online media sources receiving huge amounts of traffic and interest, both Barack Obama and John McCain were able to leverage the power of the internet.
Now, as an unbiased Canadian, it was rather clear to me that soon-to-be president Obama had the advantage in online success, and it’s now becoming apparent that he will continue to use the internet in a meaningful way throughout his presidency.
It’s now known that Obama and his team plan to broadcast his weekly Democratic address both on traditional radio, and on YouTube. The YouTube angle is certainly something we have not seen previous presidents use, and could help more young people become interested in the ongoings of Washington. The address will also be posted on the president-elect’s website (Change.gov).
