Android To Appear On Netbooks?
If you thought Google’s Android OS was only for smartphones, think again. It looks like the new platform will be making its way onto netbooks in the new future. That is because PC, laptop and netbook developer Asus has, according to their head of Eee PC business, created a department whose main duty is to create a netbook to run on the Android OS.
Personally, I am very intrigued to see how Android will run on a Netbook, and believe if it should become very popular, the OS could give Microsoft Windows extraordinary competition should Android, or perhaps a similar Google offering, be possible to move to ordinary PCs.
One thing’s for sure, if the Asus Andriod netbook should sell well, other netbook manufacturers will surely duplicate the move.
