New Antivirus Product
I was really happy today when I read about an Antivirus Software that won’t slow down the user’s PC! I’ve tried out a few different antivirus softwares but the major ones (like Norton) are useless because they slow my computer down to a crawl and make me not want to use it! Anyhow, there is a new antivirus product out called VIPRE and it’s able to work effectively without affecting a PC’s speed. The product is made by Sunbelt Software and right now a fifteen day trial is being offered, so you can try it out for free before purcashing!
Palm Pre Is Off To A Good Start
So the Palm Pre has been officially launched is now out there on the open market! The kickoff weekend went much to the delight of Sprint Nextel and Palm as they relished in a weekend of long lines and lively sales for their new and much anticipated Pre smart phone. However with the launch now in the past, the most prominent query is becoming - Will they be able to use the initial buzz generated from the release to establish a strong pace of sales going forward?
The Pre has been the source of much anticipation for almost half a year now, and has been heralded as a possible ‘iPhone killer” during that time. It is set to compete with the beloved Apple device, and with initial sales of an estimated 50,000 to 100,000 it is off to a good start.
However, many are also expecting that Apple will be announcing a new iPhone at any time now, and that could work to strongly overshadow the new Pre.
Looks Like Windows 7 Will Be Cheap!
There’s no doubt that many of you have been waiting for what feels like forever for Windows Seven to be released. Let’s be honest, everybody knows that Vista never quite got its footing back after a poor start that included many issues upon its release, even though later editions of Vista were actually quite workable. In fact, many people opted to avoid Vista entirely, choosing to wait for the next Windows OS, which we all know now as Windows Seven.
So, anyway, as the post title indicates it’s now appearing that Windows Seven will be remarkably low priced. A memo which was leaked from Best Buy today states that the electronics giant will be selling Windows Seven upgrades for just under $50 dollars at $49.99. If that memo turns out to be true, it will make a new OS upgrade an option for a very large amount of consumers, and could help Windows Seven to grab a large share of the OS market right out of the gate.
What’s Gonna Happen To The Volt?
If you’re like me and you’ve been holding off on your next new vehicle purchase until some truly innovative and green models hit the market, the recent GM Bankruptcy probably has you a little nervous too. I mean, what will all this mean for the future of the much anticipated Chevy Volt?
Well thankfully, the electric car which is slated to hit dealerships in November of 2010 should not be affected by GM’s current negative financial situation. That is according to the company’s manager of Electric Vehicle Public Relations. So, future Volt enthusiasts - breath a sigh of relief and keep waiting patiently until Q4 of 2010 when you and me both should be able to truly consider purchasing a Chevy Volt!
