Eco-Friendly Mobiles On The Way?

January 6th, 2009 | Posted in Uncategorized

Here is some cool news that may have you considering a Motorola phone: the company is readying to launch a new, eco-friendly mobile. Of course, the natural question is: what exactly makes for an eco-friendly mobile? Well, in the case of the Moto W233 Renew, that will be a few things, one of those being the claim that the phone is carbon neutral.

The company makes that claim based on a few factors, such as the fact the the aptly named Moto W233 Renew, is made from recycled plastics, not unlike those drinking containers that we take to the bottle depot once a month. Also, looking at the full production picture, Motorola has stated that twenty percent less energy is used to create each of these phones than average wireless phones.

It doesn’t end there, either. The Renew will be sold with less packaging, that of which will be made from recycled materials and natural, vegetable-based inking. A move in the right direction for sure!
