Entrecard A Year Old - Are You Using It?
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I was surprised that I hadn’t noticed this a few days ago, but as reported on Entrecard’s offical blog, the blogging community site has now made it to the one year mark.
Personally, I used to frequent Entrecard on an almost daily basis, as it was a good way to get traffic to my newer blogs, however haven’t had the time or inclination to do so recently. This is mostly because my blogs are (knock on wood) receiving a decent amount of traffic from search engines, and I no longer feel the effort put in to Entrecard is worth it for them.
Regardless of my own use or disuse of the service, making it to the one year mark is an important milestone for any dot com, and so, congrats to Entrecard! And really, best of luck for the future.

Apparently, I lose my passion over EC a month ago. In fact, I did not apply it on my main blog. Although I used it for almost 10 months on my blogspot blogs, I got tired of dropping 300x days gaining less than a quarter of what I expected, but I also religiously read blogs that have quality content.
In fairness to EC, I got some members who still stick with me even I left it. This only shows that they really like my blog, and visit it not because of self-promoting.
But of course, I wish that all members will continuously gain even if Graham is now strict with his rules. I guess it’s good to avoid abusive users.
Thanks!
I still use Entrecard everyday and think it is a great site. I don’t feel it is an all or nothing site. If I don’t have time to drop 300 cards, I might only do 100 or 50. Anything is better than nothing. And I feel that I get more than just quick drops back. I have found blogs that I like, bloggers that I like, and by seeing so many blogs a day I get ideas on design, widgets, etc. To me there is no downside.
