Internet Boasts One Billion Users!

The internet using population continues to grow and grow, as the technology is increasingly integrated into our daily lives. Many use the internet both for work and play, and this is true world-wide. Now, with the emergence of mobile internet, such as the kind we enjoy on an Apple iPhone or BlackBerry storm, the internet is only set to further explode.

In fact, the internet has just recently hit a new milestones: one billion users! A recent poll conducted of persons fifteen years of age and older revealed that there are over one billion active web users world-wide.

The Asia-Pacific accounts for forty-one percent of web users, with twenty-eight percent of web users residing in Europe, and another eighteen percent hailing from North America. China has the most web users, with approximately 180 million, and the US has the second largest amount with just over 160 million web users.
