Layoff Tracker Documents the Tough Economy

March 1st, 2009 | Posted in Uncategorized

A new software called Layoff Tracker can be added to any website or computer desktop to offer the layoffs of employees in various companies all over the country. The tracker receives its data from news releases and company announcements. After 2 weeks of testing, the application is ready to use in the form of a widget. The application is configured to make it easier to track the heavy loss of workforce that has been deteriorating for several months. It could also result in additional online conversations that assist the unemployed return to work, according to Bari Abdul, the Layoff Tracker’s mastermind.

With the widget, Abdul is hoping to create more traffic and commentary on Telonu.com, a website that he launched 2 months ago to “rave, rant and rate” about employers. Abdul explains that the way layoffs are handled can reveal plenty about an employer, so Abdul is hoping Teluno’s new widget encourages more people to write about their layoffs on the Web site.
