News From Macworld
If you have any interest in Apple at all, you probably know by now that Macworld 2009 is underway — and, in years past Macworld has been the place to get the first word on new Apple products. Even though this is to be Apple’s last year presenting at the Macworld event (which many people don’t seem to understand is not actually run by Apple), and Steve Jobs will not be giving the keynote speech, there are still high hopes for some great new products to be unveiled at this year’s event.
So far, through MW we have learned of the iLive 09 launch, which is significant because it will encompass a new release of iPhoto. Upgrades to iPhoto include face-detection technology (which sure is handy, trust me) and the ability to browse photos by the user’s face — I can’t wait to see THAT in action. Also, users can now browse photos by their GPS location (so, wherever you took the actual photo). Also improved integration with both Flickr and Facebook are offered. Overall, some good and exciting stuff!
