Obtaining Links Through Comments
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

One way to obtain links for your blog, and in turn possibly increase your Google page rank, is to comment on blogs that apply the do-follow attribute to their comments.
The important thing to remember when doing this is to leave a meaningful comment, as simply writing “great post” or a spam like blurb is not considered good etiquette in the blogosphere, and may lead to your comment not receiving approval.
It can be a little time consuming and tricky to find blogs that use the do-follow attribute for their comments. Personally, I use Comment Kahuna and find it helps to speed up my commenting, as it finds do follow sites for me, and fills in fields like name, email and web address.
The benefits of leaving do-follow comments are definitely real, and I have spent a little bit of time doing so, but not nearly as much as I would like. It would be useful for any blogger to spend about ten minutes day leaving a few comments on do-follow sites, in order to increase their own blogs visibility and PR.
