Security Hacks At Twitter

The big news in social media today concerns a huge Hack that has attacked users of the micro-blogging platform, Twitter. According to reports, over thirty-three Twitter accounts were hacked, and they weren’t just any accounts, either…

Among the affected? The Twitter accounts of US Presidential Elect Barack Obama (who hasn’t actively used his account as of late, anyway), Pop Queen Britney Spears, Radio Personality Bill O’Reilly, and a host of other celebrities.

Twitter has said that the breach was the result of a phishing scam that targeted its user base — and that likely only one individual is to blame. Also, Twitter now claims to have the phishing scam under control, and doesn’t expect any further users to be effected.
