No Speeding On YouTube

Over in Jolly Old England, a local citizen has been ordered to serve a twelve week jail sentence after being caught speeding – on the video sharing site YouTube. That’s right, the man (now jailed) posted a video of himself racing his motorcycle at speeds in excess of 130mph, as well as performing dangerous driving stunts on public roads.
The British judge assigned to the case not only doled out the aforementioned jail-time, but also implemented a two year driving-ban on the man, as well as mandatory driving lessons and extensive tests before he will be able to drive legally again. A little harsh perhaps?
This is the first I’ve heard of something like this happening, but it certainly opens the door for more prosecutions through YouTube-related evidence in the future. While it would certainly seem like common sense not to post such acts willingly on the internet, its clear by watching the YouTube video, that common-sense was never in the equation.
