Stream Netflix On Your Mac

October 3rd, 2008 | Posted in Uncategorized

It hasn’t arrived yet – but at least Netflix has now acknowledged that Mac users exist. The company says that it plans to start providing support for its consumers using Macs before the end of year. This news was broken by a Netflix representative, only introduced as “Brent”, on the company’s official blog. His statement was as follows:

“We’ve been busy working getting a solution that will allow you to watch instantly on your Mac. So hang in there – we’ll have something for you by the end of the year,”

Promising words words, even if significantly overdue. It’s always surprising to see how businesses can simply ignore a vast and growing segment of customers. The support is better late than never, though.

In further Netflix news, the company has joined with Starz Play in a venture that should see 1,000 titles added to Netflix’s “watch instantly” selection, with an additional 1,500 available by years end. Popular films such as “No Country for Old Men” and “Spiderman 3” are expected to be a part of the new offering of titles.
