One For The Twitter Addicts

Have you heard of the new service Qwitter? It’s a pretty cute concept, with a clever name, and has the potential to become a useful service to those who have a lot of Twitter followers. Basically, once you sign up for Qwitter and link to your Twitter account, you will receive an email every time someone stops following your tweets.

Qwitter could be helpful to see which topics turn your followers off, as it shows your last tweet before a user stops following you. However, knowledge of the actual user ID of the member who has stopped following is probably not so helpful.

Personally, I think Qwitter has a strong novelty factor, which will no doubt have the Nosey Nancys of Twitter signing up. While I’d probably rather folks didn’t know when I stop following them, I will be curious to see if the concept has any staying power.
